In the Bulgarian capital, the Central Market Khalite, or simply Khali, the oldest commercial building in the city, is located on Maria Louise Boulevard opposite the large Muslim mosque. The silhouette of the synagogue is seen behind it. Sofia Khali was opened in 1911.
I myself found it difficult to determine the architectural style, but I read that this is a combination of different styles. Basically it is a neo-Renaissance style, with elements of neo-Byzantine and neo-baroque architecture. A sort of architectural salad.
