Biography

Valery Petrovich Tarasenko was born on August 07, 1946 in Batumi. In 1969 he entered and in 1974 graduated from the RISI Faculty of Architecture with a degree in architecture. During his studies at the Institute, he was awarded a Lenin Scholarship for his excellent achievements.
From 1974 to 1988, Valery Petrovich taught at the Architectural Faculty of RISI, and then at the Rostov Architectural Institute. During the same period, for four years, he carried out teaching activities at the University of Annaba (Algeria), having previously completed a French language course.
In the early 90s, V.P. Tarasenko founded the Design Center "Academy-Art-Master" at the Rostov State University of Civil Engineering, which he led for more than twenty years.
During this period, the Design Center "Akadem-Art-Master" became widely known and well-deserved recognition of sculptors, architects, designers, collectors and connoisseurs of works of art executed in bronze. The monuments, monuments, and objects of urban sculpture made in the Design Center contribute to enriching the appearance of city squares and streets.
The design center "Akadem-Art-Master" mastered a complex of works, among which were: designing objects of any complexity, modeling models in soft material, removing forms from models, casting products in bronze, brass, aluminum, patinating in a given color. In addition, calculations and manufacture of metal structures for particularly complex products, installation of the product at the site of its installation were carried out.
Being an architect by profession, V.P. Tarasenko, when creating many monuments, performed the functions of an author-architect with the development of a set of appropriate drawings, drawings. He was the author of many interior decoration items (fireplaces, table clocks, lamps). In his work, he sought careful elaboration of details, compliance with style and coloristic solutions. He learned and deepened his knowledge in artistic casting, which was helped by friendly and professional relations with masters of sculpture.
The design center "Akadem-Art-Master" collaborated with famous Rostov sculptors, as well as famous sculptors from Krasnodar, Stavropol and Moscow:
