Thawed patches

This painting was created for the "Hieroglyphs" series, where I wanted to express the mood of the moment using the most minimalist means possible. I wanted to create a hieroglyph for the season and the landscape.
The work is inspired by a flock of birch trees on a sunny April day and the smell of melting snow.
Pairs well with other paintings in the series.
Technique: texture paste, oil paints, palette knife, and brush.
