White Sea 1

This painting was created for the "Hieroglyphs" series, where I wanted to express the mood of the moment using the most minimalist means possible. I wanted to create a hieroglyph for the season and the landscape.
The work was inspired by a trip to the White Sea, the smell of deep water, beluga whales, jellyfish, moss, open spaces, and wind.
Pairs well with other paintings in the series.
Technique: textured paste, oil paints, brush.
