This picture is dedicated to the great, brilliant surgeon who brought 7,000 wounded soldiers back to life during the Great Patriotic War. He worked in a hospital in the city of Sochi, when the entire city rallied to nurse the wounded soldiers who were brought to the city by all possible means, by rail, by sea, by plane, even on donkeys through mountain passes.
This is Nikolai Ivanovich Agapov. He was called
" The surgeon without scars " or
" the jewelry surgeon ".
He had an album with photographs of the wounded before and after his treatment. This album is kept in the city museum, but no one shows it to anyone, because it is better not to see such horrors, you can faint, and he treated such seriously wounded and did not just stitch up torn tissues, but performed unique multiple operations, up to 10 operations on one patient. There were even cases when the wounded did not have a lower jaw and this doctor created a lower jaw from a suitcase handle. These are some kind of miracles! But the museum workers told me about it, so I believed it. Its a pity that people forgot his name, in our city they didnt even name a single street in his honor. I would like to remind people about him, we need to remember him!
