The Ile de La Cite, Rue d Arcole

A very quick sketch in Paris last night.
Not all artists at Notre Dame are French. One, tall, well-speaking in Russian, looked like a Serb. And the most sociable and, by the way, the speaker at least in all European languages, including Dutch, turned out to be an Egyptian. While I was painting the sketch, he drew a couple of cartoons, and his drawing style was quite as at the Arbat-street. Then he said goodbye, as he was tired, and drove off on a bicycle. How I wanted to get to know them all better! But alas, the flight home tomorrow!
I finished painted Notre Dame, turned back to him, and quickly painted this sketch with colors rested on the palette. I put the last smear, and it was just dark.
