Pig with piglets in the pigsty

This is last years sketch from nature. The owner of the house where we lived asked: "But you have not seen pigs?" Of course, not seen, except in the form of ham. And he took me to his pigsty.. . Pigs are the basis of the Serbian economy. I understood that. Villagers grow soybeans and corn. Soybean pass to the oil factory. They are paid in feed for pigs. Corn is also for them. The life of a sow consists of feeding piglets. Piglets are transferred to another pigsty. Then they take them to the meat factory. The etude captures a rare moment when the mother got to her feet, and the piglets frolic around. Usually she, covered with flies, lay on one side, then on the other, and snored, while the children sucked milk.
