Running centaurs (diptych)

Once this image occurred to me ...
And this was the second attempt to capture it on canvas.

Then I discovered that although people react vividly to the picture, they still see in it not the meaning that I myself put in it. And it seemed to me that something should be added that would direct the viewers thought in a certain direction.
So ... As everyone has known for a long time, centaurs in European art symbolize the "lower", animal component of human nature. In my painting, centaurs are watched warily by people, more rational creatures. And one of them holds a triangle in his hand - a measuring device, precisely as a symbol of rational cognition.
