Portrait of a man, from a photograph

The portrait was painted from a photograph.
When I saw on Facebook a photo of a college classmate whom I had not seen for thirty years and whom I remembered as a cheerful boy, I was amazed at the change that had taken place in him. It seemed that I read on his face my own thoughts and experiences, which have been so many over the years!
I wanted to paint a portrait and see what happens.
