The Phantom Carriage

The work was painted for the exhibition Urban Legends - 6 "Moscow-Smolensk". A ghost carriage on the Old Smolensk Road. The old Smolensk road, passing through Vyazma, is shrouded in mystical stories. At night, especially in fog, drivers and pedestrians allegedly see: an old horseless carriage gliding along the road; a figure in a long cloak walking beside it; flickering lights that disappear as they approach. According to legend, this is the spirit of a traveler who died on this route several centuries ago. Meeting a carriage is considered a bad omen - a sign of imminent trouble.
