Autumn at lake, sketch

This old painting by a famous Russian (Soviet) artist Mark Kremer is done in oil on cardboard. It was created in 1989 on plain air as a sketch. A large lake is surrounded on all sides by high hills. On the rocky banks among the stones are branchy trees covered with autumn golden foliage. The sky with thick white clouds hung over the lake. In the background of the sketch, steep banks descend to the water.
