On the lake, sketch

This old painting by a famous Russian (Soviet) artist Mark Kremer is done in oil on cardboard. It was created in 1989 on plain air as a sketch. The clouds decorated with their snow-white colors the silent smoothness of a cold autumn lake. The dark green forest descends the hilly banks to the water. Yellow grass in the foreground. Between the stones there are slender birches covered with gold of autumn.
