Warmth of Chianti

This painting was created in the heart of the Chianti Valley, in the charming village of Montefioralle. Life slows down here — narrow streets, quiet air, warm wind, and old houses covered in green. It’s the kind of place where you just want to be, to breathe, to watch, to feel.
I wanted to capture that feeling — a peaceful kind of happiness, soft light, and a sense of calm. Loose, expressive pastel strokes, sunlit tones, and uncovered parts of the paper give the composition an airy, open feeling.
Faint traces of a warm Tuscan rain remain on the surface. I chose to leave them — they, too, carry a memory of that quiet, sunlit day.
