Tristan and Isolde

Tristan and Isolde are legendary characters of medieval knightly romances. There are parallels to the novels motifs in ancient Eastern, antique, Caucasian and other legends, but this legend came to the poetry of feudal Europe in a Celtic form, with Celtic names, with characteristic everyday features.
