Roses Still Life oil painting

For this painting I used a canvas stretched over cardboard. This solid foundation allowed me to create a distinctive texture that accentuated the materiality of the flowers and its colorful background.

I am inspired by the colors and shades of flowers and aimed to reflect it on canvas. I am attracted by the dynamism of the strokes. As a result, the calm still life begins to take on a life of its own.

I love working with a palette knife. It allows me to bring spontaneity, energy and mystery to my paintings. The alternation of brush strokes and palette knife makes the picture emotionally rich.
