Winter in the city

I love taking a walk in the city in winter, when the trees and their bare branches dont cover up all the amazing details of the city scenery but give it an additional lacy charm.
This painting depicts one of the streets on Vasilievsky island in Saint Petersburg - it is still the centre of the city with lots of historical buildings but rather quiet and cosy because its further from touristic routes and business districts.
