Biography

Aleksandr Grigorievich Volya was born in 1965 in Krivoy Rog, USSR. He got a degree in Art in the Krivoy Rog State Pedagogical Institute graduating the Faculty of Graphic Arts in 1990.
He discovered his interest in art when he was still at school so before he entered institute he used to attend atelier of fine art and also art school.
Alexander Volya is qualified both in graphic arts and easel painting, still just our of curiousity he made an attempt in other fileds - cinema advertising, fine arts, designing, animated graphics and also teaching.
He has been living and working in Naberezhnye Chelny (Russia) since 1992.
Up to artist himself he is not really into exhibition business although his paintings are widely sold in Russia and abroad. Today his artworks can be found in private art collections in Russia, Ukrain, China, France, Germany, the UK, Canada, Spain, Malasia, Mexico, the USA and Japan.
As artist mentions, he derives strength in his own contrariness: "When i was a child I set a goal to learn how to paint finely...since then I have been hanging about in this direction"
The protagonist of Volya art is definetely is the outside world where every canvas is an act of admiration for nature. He is talanted to find tiny details which touch ones heart to the core in ordinary landscape and still life - those like Russian classic plots or grandmothers fairy tails.
There is present and past, mood, temper and nature, feeling of total reality in his art - you smell those apples you see on the painting, and you really feel the frost on your cheeks.
"At some point you will see the beauty there where you havent seen it before", - states the artist.
