Biography


Valery Gennadievich Veselovsky (b. 1964) is a Soviet and Russian impressionist artist. Beginning in the 1990s, he developed his own distinctive style, later called Russian Nostalgic Impressionism. He is a member of the Moscow branch of the Russian Union of Artists (MOSKh) and the International Art Foundation. He has participated in city and international exhibitions and competitions.

His painting style is close to impressionism; the artist strives to use pure, dense colors, avoiding mixing paints unless absolutely necessary. To achieve the desired effect, he often employs the rough texture of the material and the impasto brushstrokes of the palette knife.

The artist's works are included in private collections in Russia, America, and Europe.
