The artist was born in 1943 in Krasnodar region. Since 1946 he lives and works in Krasnodar. Since 2017 he lives in the suburb of Apsheronsk. In 1966 graduated from the Krasnodar State Pedagogical Institute (Art and Graphic Faculty). Since 1996 - VM Torop is a member of the Association of Kuban Artists, participant of numerous exhibitions. Works as a teacher of the Art Department of the Children's Art School.
