Biography

My name is Shaliko. I was born in Armenia and graduated from art school. I currently live and work in the village of Sharlyk in the Orenburg region—I'm inspired by the landscapes of the vast steppes, winds, and wide skies.
My work intertwines expressionism, abstract energy, and realistic painting. Each series is an independent artistic step in which I explore different aspects of perception. I've been passionate about painting since childhood.
I've created over a hundred works in various techniques. Through my paintings, I want to express my inner state, feelings, silence, strength, and sometimes the drama of events. These aren't just images—they're frank conversations with myself, with nature, with life.
My works have been exhibited frequently, but most often they are born in solitude, far from noise. Each one is a fragment of my soul, materialized in color.

I seek echoes of nature. People, chasing their ambitions, lose sight of the silence of the natural world around them. And because of this, they cannot find peace of mind. My paintings on a black background convey the inner state of a person who experiences nature, using vibrant colors and brushstrokes that take their consciousness on a journey through the natural world. The paintings depict movement, waves, energy, and wind. Looking at the world through the lens of black, I try to find the same emotions I experienced as a child, walking along a country road or fishing with the boys in the river. It's a sense of adventure and an exhilarating sense of freedom. As I get older, this feeling comes less and less often. But it's so warming, and in those moments, I just want to rejoice in being alive and breathing.
