I was terribly lucky: not far from my house there is a tram route number 3, on which you can drive along the old Moscow streets right up to Chistye Prudy. I was driving, looking out the window and searching interesting places for painting.
On May 1, I reached the final stop, walked along Arkhangelsky and Krivokolenny Lanes and found this courtyard, from which you can see the Menshikov Tower, the temple of the Archangel Gabriel. In 1704-1707 by order of A.D. Menshikov temple was rebuilt in the style of Peter the Great Baroque.
