White Night

In this painting, I wanted to capture the quiet, slightly mystical atmosphere of a northern coastline suspended between worlds. The light source is intentionally ambiguous — perhaps the moon, perhaps the hidden midnight sun. It softly illuminates the bay, creating a feeling of stillness, clarity and subtle inner energy.
Purple cliffs rise in the distance. In the foreground, large stones hold shallow pools reflecting the shifting sky. The shoreline curves inward, guiding the eye toward a bright opening in both sea and sky — a small passage of light.
The sky is painted with expressive, slightly restless strokes, yet it carries a deep sense of peace. For me, this work exists between curiosity and calm, between gentle movement and approaching clarity. It unfolds slowly, drawing you in with its soft, cinematic mood.
