Sunset. Italian beach

This painting, painted by a plain air artist in the studio, depicts a quiet seascape at dusk, where the sea meets rugged cliffs on the left. This place is called the Italian Beach and is located in the village of Turunc in Turkey. The landscape is dominated by a sailboat anchored in calm waters and reflecting a mirror image. The sky is painted in soft pink and purple, which indicates the onset of dusk. Gentle and soft brush strokes create a romantic atmosphere, blurring the boundaries between the sky and the sea. The ripples on the surface of the water are rendered with extreme care, which enhances the realism of the landscape. A suitable ridge in the background practically dissolves into a heavenly pink-violet scale, creating a sfumato effect.
