Shining Elbrus

Elbrus is one of the 7 highest peaks in the world, the highest peak in Europe and Russia. For a long time Elbrus was considered unapproachable, but in the 19th century people began its exploration and the first to make the ascent was Killar Khashirov from the side of the most famous nowadays area of Elbrus - Dzhily-su. There is also a version that the Third Reich believed in the mystical power of these places and hoped to find the entrance to Shambala, landing on the plateau from the northern side.
