Novodevichy convent

The monastery was founded CA. 1524 in the suburbs of Moscow on Devichye pole. Cathedral Church of the monastery built on the model of the assumption Cathedral of the Kremlin and is one of the most significant monuments of ancient Russian art in Moscow. The walls and towers of the monastery were built in the XVI-XVII centuries, most of the currently existing buildings of the monastery date back to the 2nd floor. The XVII century and is a fine example of the style of "Moscow Baroque".
