Monastery in summer

In the foreground of the picture near the shore is an old branchy tree with fallen leaves and low spruce. In the distance, beyond the blue smoothness of the wide Valdai lake on the island is the Iversky Monastery. Its green towers and golden domes of churches tower above the lake. On the edge of the island is a small forest, slightly covered with golden foliage. A quiet autumn day in Valdai.
