In the old Paris

Copy from the work of artist Sonier. The artist is unknown to me, but judging by the type of the lady depicted (it seems to me that both her face and the silhouette of the outfit correspond to the taste of the late nineteenth century; I would even say that this is a typical "Gibson girl"), the author worked in the temporary borders of Bel Epoc. Ladies in paintings of the seventeenth century looked a little different.
An entertaining everyday scene is depicted: buying a parrot in a cage. A bird merchant at the entrance to his shop reverently holds out a bird cage to an elegant lady who is accompanied by a satellite nobleman (his appearance is closer to historical, in my opinion, than the image of a lady). They are watched by a character in black.
