In the First Sunlight was inspired by my retreat in Cirali, a quiet village on the southern coast of Turkey.
Every morning, before the practices began, I would ride my rented bicycle to the sea to greet the sunrise and swim. Those early moments were filled with silence and clarity — a quiet joy of simply being.
I decided to capture that feeling on canvas: my bicycle standing by the shore, the gentle shimmer of the sea, and the first rays of sunlight touching the sand.
This moment holds both stillness and energy — the essence of a new day, calm and full of promise.
