Idol (Kuoika)

Among the Aborigines of the North, Quoika - Idol occupies an honorable place in the chum (house). He is smoked, fed, given gifts and asked for protection and well-being. Kuoika is the keeper of the hearth, the keeper of the house. He is feared and revered.
