Biography

Elena Martens lives in Russia in the city of Rostov-on-Don. Studied at an art college. Since completely devoted herself to painting. He works in different styles and directions, but prefers realism and impressionism. Her palette is pure, saturated colors, sometimes even aggressive (if the plot requires it), and the harmony of contrasts. In work uses a palette knife. Favorite topic is the picturesque moorings of European cities with numerous yacht parking and small towns with unique architecture. Also a favorite topic of her paintings is a female image in a fantasy style and scenes in the style of "Courtyard mannerism".
Elena is a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.
Participated in creative art exhibitions in Russia, the international exhibition "Four Seasons, Amsterdam" 2017. And the international exhibition in Italy, in Montecosaro, July 2019.
Mostly paintings by Elena Martens are exhibited in galleries. Rostov-on-Don and are in private collections in Russia, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Holland, Israel, USA.
