Biography

Evgenia Gorbacheva was born in the city of Zhukovsky, Moscow region in 1985.Eugenia is a talented watercolor artist known for creating stunning artworks that capture the beauty and harmony of color and form. Her association with art began at an early age when she studied art for five years at an art school. Eugenia further refined her skills by enrolling at the Kosygin Moscow State Textile University, where she studied to become a clothing designer. She then pursued a career as a fashion designer. Today, she beautifully marries her artistic roots with her professional journey. After working in the fashion sector for ten years, creating clothing for a well-known Russian brand, Eugenia made the decision to devote herself entirely to painting watercolors in 2017.
Since then, Eugenia has participated in numerous international exhibitions and her artworks can be found in collections all over the world. She is also a brand ambassador for St.Cuthberts Mill. Eugenia's work has been featured in many prestigious exhibitions, including the Biennale d'Aquarelle de Coquelles in France, the International Watercolor Exhibition in Niigata, Japan, and the II International Art Festival "WORLD OF HIGH WATERCOLOR" in Moscow, Russia.

In October 2022, Eugenia participated in the Russian exhibition of watercolor artists "In One Breath" in Moscow, where her artwork was displayed alongside that of other professional and talented amateur artists. She also participated in the Internet Exhibition of Excellent Painting in November 2020 in Japan, where she was an Invited Foreign Professional Artist for the exhibition.

In addition to her impressive exhibition history, Eugenia's artwork has received recognition and awards from various organizations. Her painting "River and Cloud" received a prize from the sponsor at the 2nd RUSSIAN WATERCOLOR ARTISTS EXHIBITION at IWS SARE GALLERY in Moscow in 2020. Eugenia's work is characterized by her unique style, which combines a delicate approach to color and light with intricate attention to detail.

In June 2023, Evgenia published a book from the largest Russian publishing house MIF, “Portraits of the Sea and Water: A Watercolor Journey with Evgenia Gorbacheva,” which quickly rose to the list of bestsellers for July in the “Painting” section of the Russian bookstore “Labyrinth.”

Russian exhibition of watercolor artists "Memories of Spring"

The gallery presented a wide palette of watercolor works by gifted artists from different regions of Russia (more than 80 paintings). As part of the main exposition, works by first-class masters of modern watercolor painting were presented: Sergei Temerev, Ilya Ibraev, Olga Litvinenko, Sergei Aldushkin, Yuri Lomkov, Konstantin Sterkhov, Evgenia Gorbacheva, Igor Manukhov, Sergei Kurbatov and many others.
At the exhibition, the audience was able to enjoy the Demonstration of painting in watercolor by the Chief Architect of Moscow and the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Urban Planning of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov, as well as the leading watercolorists of our time.
