Biography

About me:
Tatyana V. Godovalnikova was born in Crimea, in artistic family, graduated Samokhish Crimean Art Institute. In 1992 became a member of the Russian Union of Artists and the International Association of Fine Arts - AIAAP UNESCO.
Participant a lot of personal and group art shows in Crimea, Russia, Germany, Switzerland and Japan. Her works are present in private collections in Germany, Japan, the Netherlands and Switzerland, and also at the Sebastopol Art Museum and the Sebastopol Museum of Heroic Defense and Liberation.

Artist's Statement: I was born in a family with strong cultural traditions. I was surrounded by a love for fine art, classical music, (playing cello in childhood) and literature. From an early age I confirmed my wish to become an artist, observed and was carried away by the beaty of the works of my parents, an artists. From 15 years old I already had a strong interest in Russian Impressionism. My favourite artist was and still is Konstantin Korovin. I was also influenced by the works of Valentin Serov. Primarily working in still life, landscape, I also does portraiture and particulary enjoys painting children and women. And my especially love for the great painting of Camille Corot and French Impressionists help me to develop my style with sensetive portrayal of subject matter and depth of colors.
