The red poppies are bright, open, almost an armful, on the table in a vase. The curtain sways on the window. Everything happened, but I dont want to let it go. Maybe it was a dream or a hoax. But that was it. And the soul aches with understatement, sadness, longing. The color of the flowers is so bright, the petals are so alive in their curves. The memories are so fresh.
Poppy is a symbol of sadness, transience of life, forgiveness, love and passion.
