Прыжком разбуженный колпак,
Смех, прорисованный в белилах -
Душа, бредущая сквозь мрак
И тела солнечная сила...

Ты смехом едким на лету
Наполнишь лёгкие куплеты –
Ведь разрешаются шуту
Слова, что всем другим запретны;

И с ног на голову, шутя,
Перевернёшь любую сказку –
А спесь хохочет – лишь шута,
Лишь Арлекина видя маску...

Тобой обузданная связь
Сарказма с дерзостью – забавна...
Ты ошибёшься только раз
На минах шуток и забав... Но

Уже развешаны вокруг
Флажков багровых злые жала –
И ты один выходишь в круг
Под озлоблённые кинжалы,

Где кровь твоя пьянит вином,
Где боль твоя - опять потеха...
И умереть тебе дано
Смеясь - и падая...
