Unrestrained Elegance

This work was created slowly and in stages, as if in dialogue with the form itself. A galvanized mesh was fixed onto a plywood base, bent and shaped to give it character and movement. Layers of plaster bandages were applied, followed by texture pastes, acrylic, and varnish. Each step required time, patience, and experimentation.
I wanted to contrast the unrestrained folds and waves of material with the elegance of a calm flat surface. The culmination of the composition is the golden sphere placed at the bottom — a symbol of harmony, focus, and completion. Made of foam and covered with gold leaf, it becomes the heart of the work.
The depth of this art object is 9 cm — not just a surface relief, but a true sculptural form reaching into space. The tactile surface preserves traces of the handwork, imprints of the texture paste, like brushstrokes on a painting. Here, unrestrained power and elegance meet, chaos and order, movement and stillness.
