The wounded samurai

The image of a samurai embodies such traits as bravery, self-esteem, nobility, loyalty, the desire to live a full life and contempt for death.
The Samurai series was started twenty years ago in an attempt to find a Hero with the right values at a time when you are surrounded by consumer society, cynicism and all sorts of stuff.
That is why I worked with great love and scrupulousness on the images of these harsh warriors. She carefully and in detail studied the details of samurai armor, Japanese prints, and visited exhibitions dedicated to samurai themes and Japanese art. In particular, a number of works are based on engravings by Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Suzuki Harunobu, and details of armor details are reproduced in K. S. Nosovs book "Samurai. The evolution of weapons."
