The sculpture of a fist fighter is made in bronze, because bronze is an eternal and hard material, but at the same time it is soft and elastic, like a perfectly developed human musculature. The sculpture captures the eternal motive of a fighter before a fight - tying bandages on his hands. Beautiful in its plasticity and concentration, the movement precedes the brutal battle of perfect and graceful heroes in its beauty.
At the moment of tying the bandages, the fighter brings his concentration to the limit, thinks over the tactics of the battle, because during the battle he has only a few moments that will decide the outcome of everything. In his whole figure, we feel a tensely calm line, from emphasizing the feet that stand steadily on the ground, to the concentrated bowed head. The hands, in this triangle, seem to break through the space of a static pyramid, introducing incredible dynamics, reminding us that the fight is on the feet, under the control of the mind, but the hands are a symbol of the fight.
The sculpture was inspired by the study of the great and beautiful statues of the fighters of ancient Greece.
On the back surface of the lower part of the sculpture there is the signature of the author.
