In the Bible, the Lily of Sharon is a humble white desert flower, a symbol of purity and renewal. In my interpretation, it appears with scarlet, silk-like petals — the colour of Christs blood. From the heart of the flower hang pearls on thin golden threads, like drops of truth and precious memory. This is a reimagining of a sacred symbol: not ethereal tenderness, but passionate sacrifice and priceless wisdom held within the flowers heart.
