"Winter forest. Loneliness"
The Winter Forest series
This work explores the state of existential loneliness, a space where a person is left alone with himself, without supports and explanations. The winter forest here becomes a metaphor for the interior landscape: cold, dense, enclosed and at the same time endless.
The multi-layered texture created with the help of texture paste, foil and potali creates a feeling of pressure and depth. The surface feels heavy and uneven, like frozen air. Vertical rhythms resemble tree trunks, between which there is no passage — only distance and repetition.
Light fragments do not so much illuminate the space as emphasize its emptiness. There is no solace or outlet in work — only the opportunity to give way to a state of loneliness in which there is tension, fear and vulnerability, but also the opportunity for observation and acceptance.
Materials: texture paste, foil, acrylic, potal
