Biography
Latyshenko Nikolai Petrovich (1937-2016) was a Soviet and Russian painter. He painted thematic and genre paintings, landscapes, and still lifes.
In 1956, he graduated from the Saratov Art School. In 1963, he graduated from the Painting Department of the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in Leningrad, where he studied under the guidance of Professor Boris V. Ioganson. He has been a member of the Leningrad and Saint Petersburg Union of Artists since 1966. He has been a full member of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts since 1997. Since 1964, the artist has exhibited his works at the Spring and Autumn exhibitions of the Union of Artists, the All-Union and Republican exhibitions, as well as abroad.
Nikolai Latyshenko's works are in museums and private collections in Russia, Austria, China, Korea, France, England, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Canada, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia, and the United States.
