Sunset

The painting "Sunset" is acrylic on canvas (60x60 cm). In the center is a shining sun disk, seemingly sinking into the sky. I used contrasting shades: golden-orange in the center and deep burgundy and violet in the sky. Broad brushstrokes convey the dynamism of the fading light—the sky seems alive and pulsating.
At the bottom is the cool surface of the water in dark blue and blue-violet tones. The boundary between the sky and the water is blurred, creating a sense of unity with nature.
I wanted to convey not just the sunset, but its mood: a slight melancholy, peace, and the power of nature. The painting is filled with contrasts—from the bright central accents to the muted edges. Acrylic allowed me to achieve richness and a graphic quality.
