Pink Still Life with Green Teddy Bears. Act 1: "It's Not Me, It's the Bears (thoughts)"
Author: Titova Svetlana

canvas/acrylic 30cm x 60cm 2025
The first part of the series is a bright and ironic still life in the style of fairytale, infantile symbolism.
A person is depicted as a goblet with a face, from which green teddy bears—thoughts—are born. They appear soft and harmless, yet they eagerly accept the ros wine pouring from a black bottle. The wine is a metaphor for emotions and external influences that nourish the mind.
The work mocks the paradox: a person says, "Its not me, its my thoughts," yet it is these thoughts that begin to control him. The still life transforms into a philosophical theater, where familiar objects become heroes.
The painting can stand alone or be paired with "Pink Still Life with Green Teddy Bears. Act 2: "Oh, Whos This? (Thoughts)" to form a single diptych about the life of thoughts.
