The Power of Perspective

The painting “The Power of Perspective” was inspired by memories of a retreat in Cirali, a quiet coastal village in southern Turkey.
One early morning, while greeting the sunrise by the sea, I witnessed a rare alignment in nature — the clouds, the line of the sea, and the shore all converged into one single point.
I stood there, gazing at the horizon, completely mesmerized. I even stepped into the water to enhance the effect — it felt as though every line of space was drawn into a single center, creating a powerful, invisible force of attraction.
Later in my studio, I tried to capture this phenomenon through one-point perspective — a technique rarely used in seascapes, usually reserved for architectural compositions.
Here, however, it became a metaphor for focus, movement, and the energy of intention.
The lines of clouds, waves, and shore all lead toward the same center, evoking a feeling of speed and clarity — a visual expression of moving toward one’s goal.
Soft transitions of blues and golden tones reflect the light of dawn. The painting radiates calm energy, freedom, and expansion, inviting the viewer to breathe deeply and look ahead.
