In this painting, I wanted to capture the feeling that arises when you stand on a high cliff and the ocean opens before you — deep, alive and free. You watch the rushing waves as if mesmerized, and inside you feel calm, focused and unexpectedly free. The waves rise and break into light, shifting from deep blue to soft turquoise, creating a sense of movement and natural energy.
I painted it with a palette knife, which gave the surface a rich, textured relief. The light catches on the raised strokes, highlighting the rhythm of water and the contrast between warm rock tones and cool ocean hues. The composition feels balanced, spacious and alive.
