Mountains. Landscape

The work is created with acrylic on canvas using an original mixed-media technique. The painted background establishes a sense of space and depth. The mountain forms are cut from paper that was previously covered with acrylic paint prints. The paint was applied freely, with an element of chance: layers were pressed, blended, and transferred, creating a chaotic and unpredictable texture. This spontaneity resulted in a complex surface with cracks, veins, and subtle color transitions.
This method adds relief and tactile depth to the piece — the surface “breathes,” as light reflects differently from the smooth background and the textured paper elements. The contrast between the flat canvas and the dimensional cut-out forms enhances the layered spatial effect.
The bright, almost expressive palette — reds, greens, golden tones, and dark accents — gives the landscape emotional intensity and movement. The interaction between spontaneous imprint and deliberate composition becomes the central idea of the work: natural chaos transforms into a harmonious structure.
