Valentine's Day or Romeo and Juliet in the Age of the Mad Internet
Author: Vaysbrem Dasha

canvas/acrylic 60cm x 40cm 2025
The center of the work is the Eternal Theme. Him and Her, love, jealousy, the play of passions, adrenaline... Or rather, there is no play of passions or adrenaline to be seen. Everything is very dreary. And the surrounding World is urbanistic, dull, faceless, populated by amorphous and ugly creatures. Such are the Romeos and Juliets of our time. Illusions, allusions, pastiche, and other «Capitalism and Schizophrenia» are included. A mix of Fredric Jameson, Deleuze and Guattari, or Guy Debord with Gil Wolman in one bottle. Or all of it at once. And only the Moon remains the same as before. A dark and utterly incomprehensible world of associations. Such is our time. The Era of the Crazy Internet.
