Biography
She has been pursuing artistic practice since November 2021, following a successful 16-year career in operational support within the insurance industry.
Since 2022, building upon her foundational skills in textured painting, she has been actively experimenting, favoring mixed media techniques using texture pastes, various types of wax, fabric, and natural materials. Beginning in August 2022, she has applied a completely new approach to cold wax painting (where traditionally oil paint is the primary medium) - a series of works created using an original method involving acrylics, pigments, and water-soluble wax. In 2023, she began actively exploring the theme of upcycling, creating various decorative items in this technique alongside her painting.
From 2024, Yulia began the series "Cloudscape" in an attempt to explore the dynamic interaction of light and shadow; the sky, clouds and water expanses appear not only as elements of the landscape, but also as symbols of the dynamic balance between the transience of existence and the eternity of the universe.
Currently, the main subjects of her paintings are marine and natural landscapes in an abstract style. She is also interested in the genre of symbolism, where there is always mystery and ambiguity of images.
She became a member of the Creative Union of Professional Artists (CUPA) in April 2023.
Yulia is featured in the catalog "Art of Russia" (Russian Art Guide, Issue 23).
