The old new traditions

The left side of the canvas is filled with bold, expressive strokes of acrylic paints in rich shades of pink and green.
Contrast is the right side, where the artist places a fragment of traditional Russian cross-embroidery. Of particular value to this element is the fact that the artist uses threads inherited from her great-grandmother - this is a symbolic thread connecting the past and future, the continuity of family skills and values.
