I was born in the city of Bakhchysarai (Republic of Crimea). I started drawing at the age of 15.
The main matter that interests me as an artist is deep and comprehensive contemplation of nature and man.
I spent my childhood in countryside in close contact with nature. I was fond of watching the wind bending small trees, swallows sinking to the ground before rain, sunrays illuminating the mountains. While not painting, I still mentally examine shadows falling, objects illuminated and the colors of sunset. Contemplation of nature helps to feel it.
The Crimean Art School had a great influence on my style. Studying with the Crimean artists, I developed an impressionistic approach to painting a desire to depict the natural colors plentitude, to recreate the perception of light and air through art.
For me, creativity is the rendering of a moment, a condition of nature, its variety and evanescence through the prism of my feelings. Today's sunset will not repeat tomorrow. It may be similar, but it will obviously be different.
I deliberately build the composition in such a way that a picture gives an impression of a randomly snatched fragment from the stream of life.
The main technique of my works is oil on canvas.
Participant of municipal, regional and international exhibitions.
Works are in private collections in Russia, Germany, Italy, USA and Amsterdam.
