What is this painting about?

The artwork “2045. Passage of the Russian national team of the finishing stage of the Arctic regatta named after S. Dezhnev along the Northern Sea Route” is the second of the futuristic series about the regularly held in the future Arctic sailing regatta along the Northern Sea Route named after Semyon Dezhnev.

Due to global climate warming, the Northern Sea Route is navigable much more of the year in 2045 than it is in 2024.
This makes it possible to organize regular sailing regattas along the Northern Sea Route among the BRICS+ countries and other countries that have applied for participation and received admission.

Russian icebreakers of the latest series ensure year-round safe navigation and guide caravans of ships along the NSR regardless of ice conditions.

In addition, our nuclear-powered ships accompany the traditional regattas along the Northern Sea Route.
Icebreakers provide guests of the competitions, reporters and judging staff with comfortable cabins and cruise-level accommodation.

Helicopters and drones based on these vessels are used to report on the competitions named in honor of the legendary Russian explorer, explorer and navigator Semyon Ivanovich Dezhnev.
